the 'trade your pants' project started with a show in hawaii called eco/logic, and i did it as a mail in project. i sent postcards to hawaii and left them in the gallery for people to take, and mail to me with a pair of pants which i would then sew into hats or bags or something useful. and since then i have kind of been extending the project into an ongoing thing. i also the project intensively for a month in new york at a space on the lower east side.
